A Note from the Founder of Misfits of Oz:

When I started Misfits of Oz Farm Sanctuary back in 2018, I wanted to create a space so magical that the animals who joined us would forget about the abuse and neglect many of them had suffered in their pasts. Over the years, we have taken in animals from such a variety of cases—some from starvation by people believing in the “micro pig” myth; some from animal control seizures; some from factory farms, animals with special needs, or in hospice care; and some from amazing humans who loved them but needed to make a change to better the lives of the animals.

Misfits of Oz has been a dream to build and run. As a current home to fifty-five animals and growing, we get the opportunity to provide a magical life to those in our care. We get to show unconditional love; proper diet, veterinary care, and hoof and tusk care; socialization; and a sense of safety and family. This dream is only possible because of incredible humans who support our mission and believe in our future—the people who love the animals and support their growth and happiness. It’s these humans who make this life happen by donating, sponsoring, volunteering, and joining our social media to help us spread our message of animal care, compassion, and a vegan lifestyle.

Our mission is to create a better world for farmed animals by showing their unique personalities, emotional bandwidth, and true intelligence. My world has been forever changed by the love and appreciation I feel from these animals every day.
